VERY EARLY SPODE CHIVAS REGAL DECANTER.
This very lovely deep GREEN SPODE DECANTER was made for the CHIVAS BROTHERS in1953 and held their ROYAL SALUTE Blended Scotch Whisky created for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11.
It is 9 inchs tall and in perfect condition. It has the COPELAND SPODE Mark # 259  which was only used through 1958 when it was slightly changed. (See Robert Copeland's 1993 Book OF SPODE -COPELAND MARKS.)
It has its original Silver cork stopper and a flat Bottom which was changed to a concave base when the MARK became *SPODE.*
