6 Antique Hand Colored Christian Glass Lantern Slides Jesus Last Supper Judas ++

This is a Great lot of 6 RARE Antique Glass Lantern Slides with Hand Colored Views of Christian Scenes. Each slide measures 3 ¼” x 4”, and says along either edge of one side “Series by Underwood & Underwood NY”. The scenes are noted on the other edge of the same side, and include; False Witnesses Before Caiaphas; Protestations of St. Peter; The Lord’s Supper (the Last Supper); Jesus Goes to the Chief Priest; Jesus Before Pilate for the First Time; & Judas Betraying Jesus with a Kiss. The reverse sides of the slides all have a small label with the illustrator’s name “JJ Tissot”, from whose book the illustrations were taken. The edges of the slides have red tape by the manufacturer, to protect your fingers from any sharp edges. The slides are in Excellent condition, with almost no apparent wear.
