6 Antique Hand Colored Christian Glass Lantern Slides Christ Pilate Crucifixion

This is a Great lot of 6 RARE Antique Glass Lantern Slides with Hand Colored Views of Christian Scenes. Each slide measures 3 ¼” x 4”, and says along either edge of one side “Underwood & Underwood / New York City”. The scenes are noted along one edge of the reverse side, and include; Christ Led to Judgement; Christ Before the High Priest; Pontius Pilate Washes His Hands; Christ Coming from the Praetorium; Nailing to the Cross; & the Crucifixion. All 6 of the slides say they were from “The Chapel of St. Augustine”, from which they were probably some sort of souvenir. The edges of the slides have black tape by the manufacturer, to protect your fingers from any sharp edges. The slides are in Excellent condition, with almost no apparent wear.
