Suzuki, for reasons which have always mystified us, has never garnered a share
of the motorcycle market in line with their performance. They built a 250cc (the X6 Hustler)
that was faster than many 650's, in its day. The only 2-stroke to ever win an AMA road
race in the 500cc class was a Suzuki. Here then is their 1970 assortment. While nothing
radical has been added technologically or stylistically, the Suzukis remain fast and
solid. Take a good look, and let us know if you'd like some road tests on the Seventy Suzukis.
    (@ 8500 rpm). Suzuki Posi-force
ends gas and oil mixing while en-
suring proper lubrication to all mov-
    ing parts. Five-speed constant mesh
    transmission with multi-plate wet
disc clutch plus heel return shift
    lever are standard. Oil-dampened
    suspension, telescopic front and
    swinging arm rear. Internal expand-
ing brakes, front and rear. Module
    mounted speedometer. Power-tuned
    exhaust with chrome heat shield.
The new AC-50 Maverick has en-
duro styling with a new gas tank
and deep cushioned dual seat. Dual
mirrors are mounted on the high,
    and wide new bridge-style handle-
    bar. Government approved turn
    signals and safety side reflectors,
front and rear, are standard. A Mo-
    tocross kit that increases perform-
ance 80% and a sport carrier are
    optional.
    TS-90 HONCHO
For the serious enduro rider: 11
bhp (@ 7500 rpm) single cylinder,
    rotary valve engine with 1.85 x 2.04
bore and stroke, and a 6.7 com-
pression ratio. It’s coupled to a
    five-speed constant mesh transmis-
    F-50 CUTLASS
For the young cycle rider, Suzuki
    developed the F-50 Cutlass. Bike
    features step-through frame and
    three-speed automatic clutch. Pri-
mary kick starter plus Teed valve
    help provide the two-stroke single
    cylinder engine with smooth ac-
    celeration and power. Swing-arm
    suspension and internal expanding
brakes, front and rear, make the
    F-50 surefooted. The famous Su-
    zuki Posi-force lubrication ends
    gas-oil mixing.
    Safety-approved side mirror; side .
reflectors, front and rear; plus a
stop light which is activated by both
the hand and foot brake lever round
out the F-50 safety package. Stand-
ard is a module mounted speedo-
    meter.
    AC-50 MAVERICK
    The AC-50 Maverick leads the
-• way with high performance and en-
duro styling for the young cycle en-
    thusiast. The Maverick’s rotary-
    valve engine (1.61 x 1.49 bore and
stroke), pulls 4.9 bhp out of 49cc’s
    48
sion, and encased in a double
    cradle, tubular frame and skid
    plate.
    Plus a multi-plate wet disc
    clutch, single internal expanding
    leading shoe brakes, and Moto-
cross type front forks with 5 Vi"
    of oil-dampened travel.
    Flat-bridge, Motocross handle-
bar, primary kick starter, and 18”
    “Trial” tires are standard equip-
    ment. Posi-force lubrication ends
oil and gas mixing while it keeps
the engine out of the repair shop.
    The deep-cushioned seat flips up
    for easy maintenance.
    Power tuned exhaust, complete
with chromed heat shield and built-
    in spark arrestor. Claimed speeds
    to 70 mph.
Plus it’s street legal. Suzuki built
    the TS-90 with a racing-type head-
light and all the mirrors, reflectors,
and fenders it needs to pass the
    safety inspection—even a module _
    mounted speedometer.
    Same warranty as all Suzuki's:
    12 months/12,000 miles.
    For all-out competition* riding,
just add the optional TS-90 lOOcc
    Motocross kit...
