To an old bread and butter man who has always believed in heavy, long wheel-base machines and fairly slow turning motors for long eistance touring it is difficult to come around to the point of view of the lightweight high rpm enthusiast even though the facts are there. I like the little two-strokes but have yet to try one on a trip of 2-3 thousand miles where a road speed of 60 mph for 8 to 10 hours a day is maintained. Would they stand up to it?
